Probably: Usually imaging is done both one one's side and flat. The sonographer and reading physician must have felt that the images were adequate. Speak with your doctor/cardiologist.

Yes: Technically less optimal study but can be done when necessary. Increase in ef unlikely related to technical aspects of echo. Perhaps you were on the right meds to begin with & time helped heal heart in addition to meds. Improving ef takes time.
