Not a good idea: Exercise in pregnancy is strongly encouraged. Soccer is a contact sport. Falls and getting hit in the abdomen is quite common. I have advised pregnant soccer players to stop around 16 weeks as the uterus is no longer protected by your pelvic bones. Our obgyn practice has a soccer team so we love sport but safety must come first.
