Does gestational age achieved from an early ultrasound assume ovulation occured around cd 14?

In a way: First trimester ultrasound is based on measurements only, which is extremely reliable. No assumption need be made. The ega is reported from the first day of a hypothetical last menstrual period; so in that regard it 'assumes' conception on cd 14.
