See below: Since rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease, one needs to avoid supplements (like echinacea) that stimulate the immune system for they will exacerbate the ra. Vitamin d3 seems to be beneficial as are a number of anti-inflammatory supplements like omega-3's, green tea extract (egcg), turmeric, quercitin. Foods high in antioxidants help; red meat does not. Discuss these with doc b4 taking.
