Frostbite: Yes, it is possible to ice your foot too long and give yourself frostbite. 10 - 15 minutes should be sufficient and can be repeated every hour if necessary for pain and swelling.

Technically yes: It is possible.You can get frostbite. Common? No, possible, yes. There are some companies that even sell "ice machines" which don't allow temperatures to reach freezing points. Just be smart, you can ice while wearing a sock to further protect the skin.
