Not true: Let's be charitable and not call it a lie-- let's just say that someone is "misguided". If teeth are dark due to surface deposits, a more rational approach to whitening would be a professional dental cleaning followed by conscientious self-administered oral hygiene. If the teeth are intrinsically dark, an otc or professional whitening system is best, or application of veneers for severe staining.
