What does interstitial scarring/thickening in the lingula mean?

Scar: There is a skeletal structure that supports the lung known as the interstitium. When this structure is thicker than normal it can be due to scarring, fluid or inflammation. Interstitial scarring can be the result of a prior pneumonia in that area of the lung or related to a progressive inflammatory/scarring process.

Scarfrom inflammatio: This is likely a finding which was reported following ultrasound or cystiscopy. The causes of interstitial fibrosis are not completely understood but i would discuss with your gynecologist or urologist.
