A member asked:

Can you get an infection in your body from a posterior prolapse?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not really: A posterior prolapse or rectocele can make passing stools or sex difficult and possibly bring bacteria closer to the urinary opening. That might increase the risk of infection.
