How can you heal a broken foot?

Depends: It depends on the level and nature of the fracture. If it's a complicated fracture, it may need to be surgically repaired. If it is not, then one may be placed in a cast. Your orthopedic specialist should be able to give you a plan of action.

Rest/immobilization : The amount of rest and immobilization and the type of immobilization will depend on the type, location, severity and patient"s ability to heal. In some cases surgery may be needed. See your foot specialists for an evaluation. Dr l.

Multiple factors: Recommend seeing a doctor to get x-rays. Fracture toes can take 4-6 weeks to heal. In the meantime price. Protect via immobilization, if a toe, buddy splint the toe to the next toe and wear hard sole shoes that doesn’t allow the foot to bend. Rest – especially at night. Ice at night 20 minutes but no direct contact. Compress via immobilization to minimize swelling. Elevate during the day.
