It helps with pain: Keeping a broken foot elevated will reduce the degree of swelling and will take pressure off of it. Those two aspects can help with healing. Your treating foot specialist should direct you on this more specifically.

Yes: The more you are off it the better the healing with less pain and swelling . The time factor for bone to heal is 6-8 weeks but elevation really helps.

Yes: Elevating a broken foot is great during the healing phase. Many patients find pain relief by elevating and don't need pain medication. Good healing is a combination of overall health, healthy eating, staying hydrated, avoiding things like sugar and smoking and following all doctors orders!
