Habit or problem: Some kids can become habit drinkers & their kidney responds to by making dilute urine an abrupt stoppage would be unwise as the could dehydrate. Gradual decline in intake (quit filling the cup to the top) can result in less intake & more concentrated urine. If the kid gets up at night to drink a lot, a fluid hormone pbm may exist. Either should be checked by your pcp.
