Not an easy question: People with asthma may be allergic to molds and therefore experience attacks when exposed. Emphysema (COPD) is a bit different. These individuals are prone to respiratory infections like pneumonia. If the pneumonia is caused by a mold- which is not very common- the delay in diagnosis and proper treatment can be an issue.
