Doctor can evaluate: A knot on the inside of one's leg usually doesn't hurt unless it is inflamed or infected. In that case, the doctor will examine it and decide if antibiotics and warm compresses will help, or if there is an abscess that needs to be cut open to drain the pus out. If the bump is not infected, but is some other more unusual disorder, the doctor can start treating that also.
