See below: Hard to say as there are many tick borne illnesses and you did not specify which one your were treated for. I would assume lyme disease but a large number of lyme carrying ticks also carry other illnesses like erlichiosis or babesiosis. Babesiosis is treated with different medicines and erlichiosis is treated with similar medicines except if you were treated with amox, then - not work in erlichi.
