How long should you wait with a broken bone before surgery?

Depends: It depends on the fracture but in general the sooner they are repaired, the better. However, for some injuries with significant soft tissue problems and/or fracture blisters, surgery should to be delayed to allow the soft tissues to heal. The delay could be several days.

Depends: If you need surgery for a deformed broke n bone that is not in proper alignment then it should be done fairly soon. Its not how long you should wait but when can it safely and properly be scheduled unless it is a vascualr or infectious problem.
