YES!!!: Please have protected sex. If you have not been tested for HIV go get tested asap. If you had sex with this person within the past 24 hrs and you know they have HIV see a doctor and get started on HIV prophylaxis.

HIV: Hiv can be transmitted at any moment during sexual unprotected intercourse, there is no test available to detect HIV infection 1o minutes after exposure, but post exposure prophylaxis ( treatment to prevent HIV infection), can be taken within 36 hours of exposure to decrease the risk of infection, the earlier the prophylaxis the better is the chance to decrease th risk of being infected after sex.
