Several: An increased white blood cell count on cbc, redness, swelling and pain to the skin overlying the area. Sometimes as with feet a non healing ulcer. The ulcer can show a overgrowth of angiogenic tissue or paronychia with tissue protruding from the ulcer. Nausea, vomiting, fever and chills if the infection is worsening and cellulitis which looks like a warm red streak eminating from the area.
