Not uncommon: A fever 7-14 days after a varicella vaccine is not uncommon & provides an indication that the body had a good "take" or sufficient stimulation to provide a strong antibody response. While most do not, it is not necessarily a bad event & does not indicate a weakness in the child or that other problems will surface later. Normal comfort measures are appropriate.
