A member asked:

Can my son be affected by a hep, a shot an chicken pox shot 11days later, he has a fever same thing happened last time when he got his shots whatcanido?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not uncommon: A fever 7-14 days after a varicella vaccine is not uncommon & provides an indication that the body had a good "take" or sufficient stimulation to provide a strong antibody response. While most do not, it is not necessarily a bad event & does not indicate a weakness in the child or that other problems will surface later. Normal comfort measures are appropriate.
