Multiple reasons: Her symptoms could be related to mastitis- inflammation, injury of any sort, infection- superficial or deep( inflammation can happen with it) and in certain cases this could be indicator of some other serious condition. Skin texture shld be paid attention too along with any nipple drainage. In any case this shld be gotten checked if not getting better.
