Eczema?: It could be eczematous otitis externa. Ask your md if he could prescribe "dermotic" drops. But it is not for those who have a peanut allergy.

Dermatitis: I am going to take a wild guess here and assume you use q-tips or clean your ears in some other way. By doing this you remove healthy wax that protects your ear canal skin preventing it from infection and keeping it moist. This leads to skin inflammation and itch. You need a good steroid lotion (i like betamethasone) to stop the itch and get the skin healthy. Then you need to leave your ears alone.
