May not be any...: Early, acute, significant viremia (big load of hiv) may cause a "viral syndrome" similar to that of flu, but often a bit longer duration. Many people actually don't feel anything and thus don't know they got infected. Often they remain healthy/symptom free for yrs and this is one of the dangers of HIV transmission: people don't know. Thus, take precaution. Protect yourself/partner. Consult doc.

HIV is hard to get: First. Every single human must know that HIV exposure should be treated immediately. There is now a way to prevent infection if exposure is treated within 72 hours. Second, HIV does not have signs or symptoms until very late in an untreated patient. And, most patients are now treated in this country and never develop 'signs'. What are your specific concerns?
