HIV viremia: Most people have no symptoms in the acute setting. If there are symptoms it is usually about ten or so days after an infection and is similar to the flu: muscle aches, fatigue, and a fine body rash. Remember we can now prevent infection with treatment started within 72 hours after exposure. Or by taking the new HIV prevention treatment before exposure.
