An option: Surgical excision of hemorrhoids can be direct excision surgery, or an internal stapled hemorrhoidectomy. With a properly trained surgeon familiar with the procedure, an internal stapled technique may offer very good results with much less discomfort. Ask your surgeon why they prefer the stapled approach an what their results have been.
