Eat wisely: Avoid red meat, red wine, beer, shell food, sea food, organ food. High blood pressure medicine can cause gout. Work with your medical doctor. Allopurinol may help control the uric acid level.

See a doctor: So they can treat you. Uric acid levels need to be controlled. If there is an acute attack these are painful and treatment can be initiated.
