Not necessarily: Sounds like you have an infection. To qualify for sepsis, you need to have 2 or more of the following: high temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate and white blood cell count. See a doctor to find out if you need antibiotics, if it is a virus you probably don't, and if it is bacterial, the vast majority of patients improve with antibiotics and oral hydration.

Most likely not: This is a common start to developing fever in response to infectious agent ( bacteria or virus ). For sepsis you need constellation of other signs and symptoms like - elevated heart rate, elevated respiratory rate, high or very low white cell count, bacteria in the blood ( positive blood cultures ), lowering of the blood pressure.
