A member asked:

I started taking a higher dose of paxil (paroxetine) and now i can't ejaculate. why does this happens, and what can be done about it ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A stated side effect: Paxil (paroxetine) belongs to a class of medication called selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor (ssri) which has side effect of delayed ejaculation, and at times anorgasmia (can't climax) which is more common in female. There isn't much for treating this besides lowering the dose or stop it. Add of wellbutrin or periactin may help. Consult doc for re-eval. Good luck.
