Yes and No.: Exhausted and tired are pretty general symptoms and could represent anything. Not very likely to be diabetes unless of course you also had..... Frequent urination, insatiable thirst and hunger, wt loss, blurry vision, abdominal pain, sweet smell to urine, fruity breath and rapid breathing.

To a certain extent: Ecthyma gangrenosum is a skin lesion that manifests during a severe pseudomonas infection that has spread to the bloodstream. Pseudomonas infections of this kind rarely happen in patients that are not severely immunocompromised, but can occur if a wound gets infected. Patients with diabetes do tend to get wound infections more readily, esp if they do not follow proper prevention and wound care.

Yes: Anyone with diabetes is at an increased risk from any infection including parasite infection. Diabetics have a weaker immune system, poor wound healing, poorer nutrition absorption, greater risk of liver, kidney, heart and vascular disease.

No: Diabetes is coming from either lack of Insulin production or body cells being resistant to insulin. In either case medicine can help to fix the deficit. But, diabetes doesn't go away. Some people are able to control it probably like you with diet and exercise though.
