A member asked:

What test is there for fat intolerance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

?fat malabsorbtion ?: We could be mincing words but fat by itself is rather inert & doesn't trigger the kind of intolerance we see with seasonings or milk protein in non allergic people. You can have a disorder where you do not make the proper digestive enzymes to break down fat so it can be absorbed. Floating stools that smell bad enough to clear a room are a symptom. Your dr can do some tests to explore this issue.
