Several reasons.: This is called galactorrhea and it can be caused by elevated prolactin hormones, thyroid dysfunction and medications. It is important to see your gyn for lab tests. Sometimes a brain scan is necessary to rule out a benign tumor of the pituitary. It can almost always be treated with medication.
