Probably reflux: Stomach juice can come up into your throat causing a muscle at the top of your food tube to tighten. When this muscle tightens you feel like there's a lump in your throat and your throat is "closing". You need to stay away from acids you need to stop drinking coffee and try Prilosec over-the-counter in the morning and Zantac (ranitidine) before you have dinner. If that doesn't work you need to see an ENT doctor for an examination.
