Orthotics: Devices that are worn in shoes that either control or accomodate foot function to treat or prevent many conditions affecting the foot. They can be either custom made to one's feet or pre-fabricated. They are many different materials that an orthotic can be made of.

Orthotics: More accurately orthosis or orthotic devices are custom made arch supports.
