Radiology Finding: I assume you are quoting a radiology finding. Without clinical history, it's tough to know exactly, but inflammation of the blood vessels in that location can be related to serious infection around the nose and sinuses - more than likely, this would be clinically and radiologically very evident however. Need to tie it all back to symptoms and a good exam with an ent/neurosurgeon. Hope this helps!

Temporal arteritis: It is uncommon to see "inflamed veins" in the eye and brain area. Inflamed veins get that way because of thrombosis(clot). Temporal arteritis is a vasculitis involving the temporal artery, and can progress to involve the eye (ophthalmic) artery resulting in blindness.
