Bile Duct Cancer: Unfortunately, prognosis is not good for this disease. Referral to cancer center is appropriate. Methods such as radiofrequency ablation(rfa) , possible chemotherapy are considerations. Surgery is generally not an option. Hospice will probably be discussed. Good nutrition , pain management are essentials for care.

Not sure: You used the term inflitrating duct carcinoma, which is normally a metastatic breast cancer. If that is the case, the receptor status and her-2 status play a major role. If the report is adenocarcinoma of bile duct origin then the prognosis is poor. I would get a clarification from your doctor.

Depends: You want to know what kind of cancer it is. Breast cancer?, or other type of cancer. The prognosis, treatment options etc will depend on the type of cancer, biology of cancer, overall condition of your mother etc. Infiltrating ductal ca term usually is used for breast cancer. For this, treatment will depend on the er/pr/her2neu status. Yes, there are options of treatment-chemotherapy, hormonal tx.
