A member asked:

My 70 yrs mothers fnac report is microscopy : usg guided liver aspiration. can you explain what this means?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A type of liver biop: Fnac is short for: fine needle aspiration biopsy which in this case was done with ultrasound guidance.. It looks like they did a biopsy of her liver. Then they would have examined it under the microscope(called microscopy). Then they give the result which is what you need to find out from her doctors. That information is currently missing and that is the meat of this whole exercise. So find report!
