If you suspect: Charcot foot get off of it until confirmed. Use crutches. Charcot foot is an extremely serious condition. Plantar fascitis typically is pain by bottom of the heel or arch. Area of pain: Plantar fascitis causes pain to the bottom of the heel especially after first stepping on your heel after being off of it for a while. Achilles tendonitis will be is located at the back of the heel, and charcots disease is a form of arthritis that is usually associated with diabetes and will cause a breakdown of the joints in your foot or ankle.
