Possibilities...: You may have chronic bronchitis, a form of copd, especially if you have a smoking history. You need to be evaluated and have pulmonary function testing to determine the etiology of your chronic, productive cough. Then, it can be treated. Perhaps you need to get a second opinion so your cough can be investigated. If you do smoke, smoking cessation is necessary as well! good luck!
