6-8 weeks: Avulsions injuries are both fractures or severe ligament injuries. Fracture take 6-8 weeks to heal and severe ligament injures can take 2-3 months. After healing , continued rehablitation for an additional period of time may be ncessary to optimize outcome.

Varies: Depends on the size of the avulsion fracture, the degree of strain, and the age/health of the patient. In general, these heal in the 6 to 8 week time frame with therapy and appropriate activity modification.
