Not sure: Is difficult state for certain what is causing your experience.. If you've only recently started on these medications, it is possible that you are experiencing some tinnitus as a side effect, most likely to the venlafaxine. Rarely Effexor can raise your blood pressure, i think this unlikely, but it wouldn't hurt to have it checked. It what encourage you to call the prescribing physician.
