Copd: Your question is not complete. However i understand that your mother has severe COPD and that sleeps a lot and drinks( alcohol ?) a lot. Needs full medical attention. Her doctor already working on her. Good luck.

See below: Didn't get the whole question but sounds like your mom is seriously depressed in addition to being sick. If your family cannot motivate her to stop drinking and smoking and take care of herself, maybe she needs to be hospitalized. She needs help!
