GERD : Gerd is common & treatable. Try Pepcid (famotidine) or over the counter Prilosec . Avoid spicy & fatty foods.

Try OTC meds: Try Zantac (ranitidine) 150 mg (or generic) 2x/day or Prilosec in am . Diet changes should include: no caffeine, alcohol, chocolate, tomato sauces, and no late night eating. Also try to stop smoking. Please get seen if any warning signs: difficulty swallowing or black stools (bleeding from esophagus/stomach). Hope you are better soon!
