Many meds available: If this has been DX as migraines there are many tx options- the best med for acute migraines often belongs to a family called tryptans (imitrex, relpax, (eletriptan) maxalt, axert, zomig) but when you're getting more than 4 ha's a mnth then preventative meds can be prescribed- such as topamax, b-blockers, ca channel blockers &other meds. Of note, MRI can be better than ct for eval -also may need to see neuro.
