Depends: Everyone is different and every case is different. In general after a spine procedure, patients are walking around right away and most of the recovery happens in the first 6 weeks. However improvement can continue for months.

Ask your surgeon: It depends on how much the surgeon does. The more work done, the longer it may take. If there is a fusion, it takes longer to heal. People vary in their recovery times too. Being better shape you are in before surgery helps. Ask your surgeon: she or he knows exactly what was done.
