A member asked:

Hello, i am having intermittent, sharp pain in my leg above my thigh. there is no swelling, redness, or warmth. it happens a few times a day.?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some thoughts...: Without any swelling, redness, or warmth, it's unlikely to be a soft tissue infection (cellulitis). However, pain in the area you describe can be many things. Does the pain happen when you walk or do activities? Does it wake you at night? Are there any associated symptoms? These are the sorts of questions your doctor will ask you to help narrow down the many things it can be.
