Yes: As long as there are no other complications with the pregnancy, car travel with frequent breaks is safe. It is important to stretch your legs during the trip, even if by plane, to prevent blood clots. Pregnant women are more prone to them because of the hormones and increased blood volume.

Travel: There is no contraindication to travel. As you mentioned plenty of breaks, hydration and stretching are essential. The concern is prolonged sitting and pregnancy can put her at risk for deep vein thrombosis which could be life threatening.
