Large: Sounds like a large mass of the cecum, near the appendix. Superficial biopsies may not be accurate. I would need much more clinical & radiology information & would need to discuss and review with the gastroenterologist who did the biopsy and with the pathologist who looked at the biopsy regarding adequacy of sample. I would not be fully comfortable leaving an 8 cm large mass in the colon though.
