Visit the : Orthopedist to find out. Some possibilities include patellar tendonitis or a tear in this tendon. You may have fractured the patella itself. When you kneel you are obviously putting more strain on the knee. 6 weeks is a long time to still have pain - the longer one waits to treat things sometimes can cause more damage.
