I did the hcg diet for 3 weeks in june and now i have a 8 cm cystadenoma in my left ovary. could this be a cause/effect or a complete coincidence? i am 52, in great shape and was happy to go from 141 to 129 pounds.

Not related: The HCG diet would not be related to the development of a cystadenoma. At age 52 with an 8 cm ovarian mass I am hoping that you are scheduled for surgery soon. The diagnosis of a cystadenoma may be suspected by its appearance on ultrasound but the only way to know for sure is to analyze the surgical tissue. Please discuss surgical removal with your physician. Congrats on the weight loss.
