A member asked:

Is there a condition that causes rapid decline in a healthy 68 yr old woman? my mom's only complaint is sciatica pain and lower spine spondylosis.

CONDITIONS LIKE: Multiple myeloma can present with just localized back pain. Please review the possibilities with her doctor, particularly when there is a quick, drastic decline in health, in an otherwise healthy, active woman. Please know, myeloma is not the only possibility.

Unsure: Sciatica and spine spondylosis should only result in back and leg pain. Not sure what your mean by decline. If concerned i would recommend follow-up with her pcp for further evaluation.
