MD visit: Not trying to be flippant about it but she should visit her family doctor. Loss of appetite is too vague a symptom to be able to tell right away what the problem is. She could have a minor problem or something as serious as depression, heart disease, or even cancer. Her doctor will begin with a basic history and physical exam and then order additional tests as he/she sees fit. Best to you.
