Challenges: People with borderline personality disorder often have more difficulty with intimate relationships than most. Emotions can get very intense; there can be irrational rage and impulsivity. This can make it hard to be a consistent parent. But: if he is working in therapy to deal with his problematic patterns, he has a good chance of recovery and relating healthily with you and future kids.
